June News 2010
School Newsletter
From the Desk of Tricia
As The Learning Center gets ready for another exciting Summer Program, we hope you all have taken a few moments to peruse our summertime fun board. Check out our Summer Program Guide and keep a copy handy to stay up-to-date with TLC's plans. Field trip days are an exciting part of our summer program and we welcome parent volunteers to accompany us on any field trip. Please sign up on our volunteer sheets located on the bulletin boards above the sign in sheets. A vacation sign up is also posted for families to write in their vacation plans. This helps us plan for staff vacations and proper coverage during the summer months.
As the programs change from school year to summer program, we would like to take a moment to inform you of some staff changes that will take place. Marie Melnick will be leaving for the summer. We would like to take time to welcome back our old friends, Lauren, Melissa T. and Nicole. They have returned for the summer. It's great to have them back.
Get ready for our annual graduation ceremony! It is going to be a Rock and Roll bash!! This year our Half Pint class will be joining us in our ceremony. Please save the date, our graduation will take place June 17, 2010, promptly at 5:30pm, followed by a Family Cookout. All pre-school children receive a diploma and the clubhouse children receive special awards. Please be aware children in the Little Tykes classroom, who do not participate in the ceremony, need to be picked up by 5:15 so their teachers can take part in the ceremony.
Graduation is a very busy time for the TLC staff, therefore, it is necessary for us to require that children be accompanied by a parent at all times during the ceremony. We ask that all of the children dress in rock n roll attire and clubhouse boys should wear white shirts. Sign up sheets for food donations will be located by the sign in/out sheets. We greatly appreciate all donations.
Thursday, June 21st is our annual Clubhouse"schools out" trip to Canobie Lake Park. Please be here by 9:00 am. We will return around 5:00pm. Our first field trip takes place on Tuesday June 22nd. Please refer to your summer program guide.
TLC looks forward to another successful and enjoyable summer for all.
Little Tykes

May was a busy month in the Little Tykes room. We were able to enjoy the beautiful weather, frequently spending much of our time outside.
We are looking forward to another warm month so we can continue to take in the fresh air. This month we will be dedicating time to make special surprises for our Fathers.
We will also work on many other summer and vacation projects. June will be wrapped up by TLC's Graduation Ceremony. We hope all of our Little Tyke families will attend.
Please remember TLC will be celebrating our Rock and Roll graduation Thursday, June 17th. Little Tyke class members should be picked up by 5:15 pm. Thank you for your assistance.
As the warm weather continues, please make sure your child has extra clothing suitable for the changing weather. We also ask that parents bring in swim suits, towels and swim diapers so they can enjoy the sun and keep cool in the heat. Thank you for another great year and we hope everyone has a wonderful summer.

What a great year we have had in the Little Rascal's room. We have made many new friends and learned so much through the school year. June is sure to bring in plenty of fun for us.
Summer fun and vacation themes will start off a month full of fun. We will pack our suitcases and travel all around the world. It will be very interesting to discover where the children plan to travel this summer and what they will do for fun.
Our dads will play a very important part of June. The Little Rascals will be making special gifts for their Daddies on Father's day. The children will be making pictures to show what some of their favorite things to do with Daddy is.
We hope everyone is ready to "Rock & Roll" as we celebrate graduation day! We will be learning a few rock and roll songs as well as a special poem to perform for you on our special day.
As our school year comes to a close, we would like to say good luck to all of our friends who will not be returning in the fall. We hope you have enjoyed your time in the Little Rascal room. You will be missed. Thanks to everyone for a great year!

Wow, hard to believe the end of our school year is here. What an exciting month for the Small Fries. We spent quite a bit of time outside enjoying the sunshine with smiles all around. Our trip to South wick was especially fun. The kids found the monkeys and giraffes most interesting.
The Learning Center is currently preparing for our end of the year "Rock and Roll" Graduation. The children have been practicing daily and can hardly wait to show off to their families. Showtime is 5:30 sharp on June 17th. Bring your lawn chairs. Children will return to their parents after they receive their diploma. Please be aware parents are responsible for them at this time.
The Small Fries have grown in leaps and bounds since last September. We are so proud of them. We wish all of the children moving on to Kindergarten the best. We will miss them dearly.
We all have such wonderful memories of this past school year, now it's time for some summer memories to be made. We have many trips planned.
Please remember each child should have a pair of extra clothes, bathing suit, towel and sandals/ flip flops for water play.

What a great year we have had in K2. It's hard to believe it is June already and almost time to begin our Summer Program. But, first we will enjoy our last month talking about summer & taking vacations as well as celebrating Father's Day. We will take turns telling each other about our Dads and what special things they do for and with us.
Get ready for "Rock & Roll" on June 17th for our graduation celebration at 5:30 PM. The children will be busy little rock stars rehearsing and preparing for the big event.
Our first field trip is on Thursday June 24th to Hopkinton State Park for some fun in the sun. The last week of June we will begin our "Under the Sea" theme and send us to our next field trip to One Stop Fun. We will enjoy an indoor playground, be served lunch, and head out to the pool. Don't forget socks, bathing suit, and towels. No lunch is required.
I hope you have a fun and safe summer!!
The Clubhouse
Wow! June already! The clubhouse' kids are ready for school to be over and summer to begin.
We are busy preparing for a Rock n Roll' Graduation. We will be performing some classic tunes for everyone. Join us in the fun by decking out in your most rockin' attire. Clubhouse boys please dress in white shirts.
As the warmer weather is approaching, we will be starting water games to help stay cool. Please make sure your child has a bathing suit and/or change of clothes and towel if they'd like to get wet. This will help to ensure you a dry car for the ride home.
Also, with baseball/ softball season here, along with other activities, if your child needs to be changed and ready for a certain time please leave us a note for that day. We have several children each day with different activities and times. Daily notes will help us keep track of these schedules.
